The education landscape of Addu has reached an exciting new milestone with the inauguration of the Villa College, Hithadhoo New Campus Building. This monumental event marks a significant step forward in enhancing higher education opportunities and fostering academic excellence in the region.

Villa College’s 9th Launching of the International Conference on Social Research and Innovation (ICSRI) 2025 has been hosted on the 10th and 11th September in Villa College. This annual event hosted by the Institute for Research and Innovation (IRI) welcomes knowledge and experience from various fields such as, academia, industries, and civil society. The conference provides a platform for dialogue and collaboration on issues ranging from climate change, resource management, social and economic equity, and responsible technology adoption.

Villa College marked a momentous occasion on December 10, 2024, with the opening of the International Conference on Waves of Change: Nurturing Ocean Resilience and Charting Sustainable Futures. This event brought together global leaders, academics, and experts to address critical issues in ocean governance and sustainability.

Tree Top Hospital (TTH) awarded scholarships to 4 students under the nursing scholarship programme during a special ceremony held on December 8, 2024, at the Tree Top hospital. These scholarships aim to support the development of skilled healthcare professionals in the Maldives. Students were awarded a scholarship to study Diploma in Nursing programme at Villa College.

Villa College, Faculty of Shariah and Law, is proud to celebrate the success of our 4th UNCITRAL Asia Pacific Day 2024, organized in collaboration with the UNCITRAL Regional Centre for Asia and the Pacific, The Maldives National University, and Villa College Law Society Maldives.

From October 28 to November 12, 2024, 20 students from the Faculty of Educational Studies at Villa College participated in an exciting mobility program in Colombo, Sri Lanka. This program provided an invaluable opportunity for hands-on learning, cultural exchange, and academic enrichment.
