Awards & Recognition
Since 2021, Villa College has been hosting a special function to recognize the exceptional performance of its students, known as the VC Student Achievement Awards night. This prestigious event is a red-carpet affair, broadcasted live on Villa College's social media platforms, VTV, and TVM, to a broad audience. Distinguished leaders from diverse sectors and Villa College's industry partners attend the ceremony.
The primary objective of this function is to highlight the exceptional accomplishments of the students and inspire a sense of pride through their role as models to the broader community. Villa College acknowledges the corporate sector's role in its students' lives and offers the college medal, with industry prizes from prominent organizations, to honor their achievements. The recognition from industry leaders significantly motivates our students and alumni to continue their pursuit of excellence and contribute to their careers.
Moreover, this event offers an excellent opportunity to increase the exposure and involvement of industry leaders in enhancing the value of graduates' accomplishments.

The Dean's Award is given to all graduates who have achieved first class / distinction in their respective programme of study at each conferment and who have fulfilled the criteria detailed in the Policy on Student Achievement Awards.

Qasim Ibrahim Award for Excellence
The Qasim Ibrahim Award for Excellence (QIAE) is awarded to graduates who demonstrate the highest level of academic excellence in their respective programme of study at Villa College. QIAE is awarded to the student who has achieved first class/ distinction grade with the highest Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) /highest average mark in their respective programme of study amongst the graduating class and who have fulfilled the eligibility criteria as approved by the College.
Villa College Book Prize
The Villa College Book Prize is awarded to all graduates who have achieved first-class/distinction grades in their respective programme of study at each graduation and who have fulfilled the eligibility criteria as approved by the College.
ACCA Maldives Prize
The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) awards a number of prizes to students who demonstrate exceptional performance in exams. National prize winners are awarded to students who achieve the highest marks in exams on their first attempt. In recognition of their achievement, students are awarded a Certificate of Achievement by Villa College. ACCA may hold separate awards ceremonies to celebrate student achievements.
College Medal
The College Medal is awarded to graduates who demonstrate academic excellence in their programme of study within their respective cohort. This medal is awarded to the student amongst the same cohort who has achieved first class/distinction grade with the highest cumulative grade point average / highest average in the cohort and who has fulfilled the eligibility criteria as approved by the College. Since 2019, the College Medal is awarded in partnership with Industry Leaders from their respective disciplines.
