On 21st November 2024, the Qasim Ibrahim School of Business (QISB), in collaboration with the Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development (CIED), successfully hosted a dynamic Train of Trainer (ToT) Program on Entrepreneurship Development. The programme was facilitated by Kanishka Weeramunda, Entrepreneur in Residence, Founder, Innovator, and Facilitative Trainer at SquareHub Sri Lanka, a leading figure in entrepreneurship and innovation. His extensive expertise and passion for education made the program an exceptional experience for all participants.
Supporting VIgnite – The QISB Business Incubator
The mentors who participated in this programme will play a pivotal role in facilitating programmes and mentorship at VIgnite, QISB’s flagship business incubator. VIgnite is committed to fostering innovation and entrepreneurship among students and the local community. These newly trained mentors will provide the knowledge and support required to help aspiring entrepreneurs turn their ideas into impactful ventures.

• Expert Leadership by Kanishka Weeramunda: Kanishka shared his deep insights into entrepreneurship education, drawing from his experience as a founder and innovator, ensuring participants gained practical and strategic knowledge.
• Hands-On Learning: Interactive workshops covered critical topics such as business model canvas, design thinking, and entrepreneurial ecosystems, empowering trainers to deliver meaningful impact through VIgnite.
• Networking and Collaboration: The programme provided a collaborative environment where participants connected, exchanged ideas, and explored new opportunities for entrepreneurship education in the Maldives.
