INAUGURATION OF THE PSYCHOLOGY ASSOCIATION OF VILLA COLLEGE

Villa College inaugurates the Psychology Association of Villa College during a special ceremony held in Villa College Hall today (10th October 2021, Sunday). The Association was inaugurated by the Chief Guest of this ceremony, First Lady, Fazna Ahmed. In her remarks, First Lady expressed her happiness towards the inauguration of such an association on the World Mental Health Day and stated that this portrays the importance given to raising more awareness about mental health issues by the College. Our Rector, Dr. Ahmed Anwar stated in his remarks that Villa College will always strive to provide more opportunities for students while addressing key issues in the society as well. Lecturer of the Faculty of Educational Studies and the coordinator of the Bachelor of Psychology programme, Dr. Aishath Nasheedha mentioned that the students play a significant role in this association and have received immense support thus far. She assured the students further that Villa College will always work to provide students with unique opportunities to enhance their careers. In this ceremony, students who were selected for the first ever Executive Committee of the Psychology Association of Villa College were awarded with the posts and certificates. After the ceremony, the Chief Guest, First Lady Fazna Ahmed visited the stalls prepared by the Psychology students and the Faculty of Health Sciences for the World Mental Health Day.
