Today, at the Ocean View Hall of Villa College, marked a historic moment as the inaugural class of Bachelor of Pharmacy students donned their White Coats in a special ceremony, symbolizing their entry into the pharmaceutical profession. The event commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran.
The Chief Guest, Mr. Ubaidhullah Thaufeeg, Registrar of the Allied Health Council in the Maldives, took center stage to confer the symbolic White Coats upon the Bachelor of Pharmacy students. Following this significant moment, Mr. Ubaidhullah led the official invocation of the Oath, underscoring the students' commitment to the ethical practice of pharmacy.
The Bachelor of Pharmacy programme was launched for the first time in Villa College for the September Intake 2023. For students studying Bachelors of Pharmacy for the first time, they are required to have 3 passes with Chemistry and Physics or have a relevant MNQA level 4.
This programme also makes sure the students receive the proper experience through externship programme set up by Villa College. And in the final year, the students are given the opportunity to go on exposure trips to pharmaceutical factories approved by the W.H.O.
