Villa College’s 9th Launching of the International Conference on Social Research and Innovation (ICSRI) 2025 has been hosted on the 10th and 11th September in Villa College.

This annual event hosted by the Institute for Research and Innovation (IRI) welcomes knowledge and experience from various fields such as, academia, industries, and civil society. The conference provides a platform for dialogue and collaboration on issues ranging from climate change, resource management, social and economic equity, and responsible technology adoption.

The theme for this year's two-day conference, "Synergies of Discovery: Igniting Solutions for the Future," emphasizes tackling global challenges through collaboration. It invites scientists, academics, and practitioners to explore the connections between ideas and advancing knowledge across various fields. The conference seeks to close academic gaps, foster interdisciplinary approaches, spark actionable discussions, and help shape a brighter, sustainable future.

The International Conference on Social Research and Innovation offers attendees a unique opportunity to gain insights, build connections, and explore key industry topics through presentations by esteemed keynote speakers. Additionally, the event will feature panel discussions led by local and international industry experts.

At the inaugural ceremony, Vice Rector of Villa College, Dr. Ali Najeeb announced the details of the conference and its hybrid event format. He was accompanied by ICSRI Coordinator Dr. Mamdooha Ismail and IRI Dean Dr. Fazeela Ibrahim.

Dr. Fazeela highlighted that researchers have the option to submit their papers either physically or online. Accepted abstracts fall into various categories, including research papers with data collection and analysis, comprehensive reviews such as systematic, bibliometric, or scoping studies, and practical applications aligned with the conference themes or in-depth analyses of specific case studies.

ICSRI 2025 aims to uncover and explore new pathways in social research and innovation, fostering individual insights and solutions that promote sustainable development, resilience, and prosperity. Abstract submissions are open until 30th June 2025, with registration closing on 15th August 2025, via the conference website.
