VILLA COLLEGE HOSTS A SPECTACULAR STUDENT ACHIEVEMENT AWARDS 2023
Villa College hosted a spectacular Student Achievement Awards night to honor the high-achieving UWE-VC graduands of 2023 at Dharubaaruge, Rannabandeyri Hall. The Guest of Honour for this prestigious event was none other than His Excellency Faisal Naseem, Vice President of the Republic of Maldives. The ceremony was graced by the presence of other distinguished individuals, including the Minister of Higher Education, Dr. Ibrahim Hassan, and the Vice Chancellor of the University of the West of England, Professor Sir Steven West.

The ceremony commenced with a beautiful recitation of the Holy Quran by Ali Nihaal Hassan, a student of Villa International High School, followed by a warm welcome from the Vice Rector of Villa College, Dr. Ali Najeeb. In his address, Dr. Najeeb emphasized the strong and mutually beneficial connections Villa College shares with industry partners, facilitating employment opportunities for graduates and promoting collaboration with talented Villa College alumni.
The first awards presented were the ACCA Maldives National Resident Prizes, conferred by Vice Rector Dr. Ali Najeeb. Subsequently, the winners of the College Book Prize and the Deans' Awards were recognized by the respective faculty heads.
The highlight of the evening was the presentation of the College Medals, carried out by representatives from Villa College's industry partners and sponsors. This was followed by an enlightening speech by the Rector of Villa College, Dr. Ahmed Anwar.
The prestigious Qasim Ibrahim Award for Excellence was then presented by the distinguished guests, including Minister of Higher Education Dr. Ibrahim Hassan, Vice Chancellor Professor Sir Steven West, and the Guest of Honour, His Excellency Faisal Naseem, Vice President of the Republic of Maldives.
The ceremony culminated with an inspiring speech by His Excellency Faisal Naseem, Vice President of the Maldives, emphasizing the importance of building a resilient community.
