Programme Details
Introduction
The Certificate 3 in Web Design programme will train students to create and maintain web pages using HTML and CSS. They will be able to edit HTML and CSS files directly using HTML or text editors. The programme covers the basic tools and practical skills that web developers need in order to create dynamic web pages. Additionally, it covers the basics of coding for responsive designs, JavaScript and interactive web applications. This programme provides the opportunity to start a career in web design and it lays the groundwork to pursue higher education in this field.
General Entry Criteria
Completion of Basic Education (Key Stage 2 / Grade 6) OR
Attainment of a Level 2 qualification
Alternative Entry Criteria
18 years of age AND
Ability to communicate in the language of instruction.

Upon successful completion of this programme participants will be able to:
Develop effective, modern web-based applications
Understand the functionalities of Web Server and Web Browser interaction for executing
Web applications
Design ultra-dynamic web pages by using enriched CSS design controls
Develop dynamic websites with different styles and layouts
