The Master of Communication programme aims to offer those working in the field of communication the opportunity to widen their knowledge and sharpen their skills in understanding and dealing more effectively with their workplace issues in media or media-related organisations. The programme is designed for those intending to advance their academics qualification right after their basic degree for better employment opportunities, and also for learners who wish to enter the academe and later further their studies to the doctoral level.
General Entry Criteria
A recognized Bachelor’s degree in the field/related fields or different fields with a minimum CGPA score of 2.50 or equivalent. Applicants with degrees not in the field/related field are required to complete a bridging module/completion of the MQA-approved Pre-master’s programme prior to joining the programme, OR
A Bachelor's degree in the field/ related fields with a 2.00 CGPA < 2.50, recognized by the Malaysian or National Government, AND
A minimum of 5 years of related work experience. Applicants with degrees not in the field/related field are required to complete a bridging module/completion of the MQA-approved Pre-master’s programme prior to joining the programme, OR
A Graduate Diploma at Level 8 in the related field

Upon successful completion of this programme participants will be able to;
Able to demonstrate continuing knowledge and comprehension in the field of communication to develop or use ideas in the context of research, to solve problems related to communication in new situations
Able to acquire mastery of scientific research methodologies both quantitative and qualitative
Proficient at analysing, evaluating evidence and making communication-related decisions by considering social responsibilities and related ethics
Strategic and critical thinkers in relation to systems and standards, technology, techniques and policies related to communication, who can communicate clear conclusions/decisions, knowledge and rationale to experts and non-experts
Competent in professional knowledge and skills in the field of communication with a high degree of autonomy so that they become independent learners
