Higher Education in the Maldives is increasingly demanding quality practices. Teaching and student experience, today, requires new perspectives as institutions are being compared side by side with international providers. Due to this, training for academic staff in higher education is increasingly being recognized as the best avenue to strengthen academic practices. Through seminars, reading, collaborative work, action enquiries and independent study, this programme is aimed at providing professional training in line with the UK Professional Standards Framework (UKPSF) for Teaching and Supporting Learning in Higher Education and the Higher Education Academy Fellowship.
