Programme Details

Introduction

The Advanced Diploma in Pharmacy programme incorporates in-depth knowledge on manufacturing, preparing and dispensing drugs, and patient counselling, along with pharmacotherapeutics. The first year focuses on core subjects which encompass the foundation for pharmaceutical sciences. The second year focuses on the application of knowledge and skills through comprehensive field practice in hospital, retail pharmacies and marketing in field settings. The third and fourth years focus on advanced knowledge of pharmacological disease management and clinical pharmacy along with a blend of industrial and drug regulatory affairs. The programme aims to fulfil the health needs of the public and uplift the profession of pharmacy and its socio-cultural impact on society

General Entry Criteria

  • A minimum of 3 principal passes at A-Level (pass in Chemistry and Physics are required) OR

  • A minimum of 3 passes in Shahadha Saanavi (pass in Chemistry and Physics are required) OR

  • Attainment of a Level 4 qualification in a related field AND

  • Certified proficiency in English (GCE O’ level/ IGCSE English pass) OR pass in an equivalent English Language Competency Test

Note:

  • Student with MNQF level 5 Diploma in Pharmacy can gain entry to the 3 rd year of the programme. The prior Diploma should be of 2 years.

Course Fee:
First year = MVR 4,899 per month x 12 months

Second year = MVR 4,899 per month x 12 months

Upon successful completion of this programme participants will be able to:
